Moscow Parking
Moscow is legendary for its traffic, but what about parking? Well, the new Moscow mayor is working hard on relieving the parking situation downtown. However, it's not just a downtown issue. Parking in our own neighborhood on the edge of the city can also be a bit of a challenge. Enjoy eyeonmoscow's first video blog as I look to park while returning home in the evening. As one blogger profoundly stated: "They built a city. After that, people started buying cars."

Andy - you make me laugh- but my friend there were PLENTY of parking spaces . . . all those snow drifts, just rev it on up there - sidewalks, snow drifts, double parking - everything is game isn't it? I mean if Igor hasn't cleaned off his car in a few days, well then just park right there next to him with a note to come over for chai when he needs to get to it !
Yes, Lisa, you're sort of right. It was only 8 p.m. I just never had the eagerness to make the same video at 3 a.m. when there really are no parking spaces. Well, unless you're okay with parking on the yard by the playground.
Hello Andy,
That blogger had it right... They built a city. Then they started buying cars.
St Petersburg has the same increasing parking problems. Abandoned cars take needed spaces.
Here's my post http://amrusob.blogspot.com/2010/11/youll-never-see-parking-ticket-in-st.html
